MD Barnmaster, a designer of barns, stables and equestrian facilities, has been named as the official barn sponsor of the 2018 World Equestrian Games.
The event, which is organised by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), will take place in the US town of Tryon, North Carolina from September 11-23.
The competition serves as the main international event for the eight core equestrian disciplines of show jumping, dressage and para-equestrian dressage, eventing, driving, endurance, vaulting and reining. Around 500,000 people are expected to attend this year’s Games.
Jon Stacy, MD Barnmaster’s managing director, said: “For equestrian enthusiasts, the Games are on par with the Olympics. Folks from all over the world gather to cheer on these world class equine athletes from their native countries. Needless to say, for MD Barnmaster and our distributors, a venue such as the World Equestrian Games held at Tryon goes beyond excitement – there is a personal connection with Tryon.
“For the past five plus years, MD Barnmaster has had the honour of being selected to build all of the state-of-the-art barns at Tryon. There are over 1,000 stalls at the Center with the largest barn having over 280 stalls. So, in a sense the reputation of our company is also on display. And that is an incredibly exhilarating feeling.”
