McLaren extends Hilton partnership through to 2021

Formula One motor-racing team McLaren-Honda has extended its partnership with hotel and hospitality chain Hilton for an additional two years.

The new deal will run through until 2021. The two parties’ previous deal was due to expire in 2019.

Hilton will benefit from increased branding on McLaren’s drivers’ overalls and will have the opportunity to use on-car branding.

Additionally, Hilton will look to expand its activation programme, which last March included the #NightAtMcLaren promotion, which saw Hilton Honors winners spend a night at the McLaren Technology Centre before viewing a screening of the 2016 Australian Grand Prix.

Zak Brown, executive director of McLaren Technology Group, said: “Hilton is a genuine global brand, synonymous with travel and adventure. And we’re really pleased by some of the ways McLaren-Honda has been able to activate the brand. We’ve created some fun, unique and successful campaigns together, and, most importantly, I think there’s plenty more of that to come.”

The long-standing partnership began in 2005.
