Automotive company Mazda has signed a commercial partnership with LaLiga, the top division of Spanish football.
Mazda will serve as the official automobile brand of LaLiga during the 2015-16 season.
The Japanese firm will benefit from a presence in association with LaLiga at stadiums, and through broadcast, online and social media platforms.
The sponsorship also covers the second tier Segunda Division. Financial terms were not disclosed, but Mazda will join LaLiga’s second tier of commercial partners alongside Nike, Sockatyes, Mahou, Sportium and Cabreiroa.
Barcelona begins the defence of its LaLiga title this weekend.
