English Premier League football club Manchester City has continued its commercial expansion into the Asian market by agreeing a partnership with car battery brand GS Battery in Thailand.
The Japanese manufacturer of automobile and motorcycle batteries becomes City’s official car battery partner for Thailand. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Under the deal, GS Battery will film a television advert featuring City players, to be aired nationwide in Thailand.
Additionally, GS Battery will use the club’s crest and player imagery on packaging, point-of-sale and marketing material throughout its Thai sales network.
Earlier this month Manchester City teamed up with soft drinks brand est Cola for its first regional partnership in Thailand having made car manufacturer Daihatsu its official automotive partner in Indonesia.
