Major League Baseball extends StubHub partnership

North America’s Major League Baseball has renewed its partnership with online ticket exchange StubHub.

The new five-year deal will see StubHub retain its position as the official fan to fan ticket marketplace of MLB.com and the league’s 30 clubs.

As part of the agreement, StubHub will be afforded a range of marketing and sponsorship benefits, such as the use of official MLB and club marks across various online, media and digital assets. Signage will also be granted at MLB venues.

StubHub will be provided with an exclusive ticketing integration with MLB.com and the 30 clubs, with the two parties having pledged to develop new ticketing technology and enhance the ticketing and fan experience for supporters.

StubHub’s technology provides customers with tools such as pricing guidance for sellers and panoramic 360-degree views of seats for buyers.

"StubHub has been a valuable partner for our teams and their fans over the past decade, consistently demonstrating agility to adapt quickly in an ever-changing environment," Noah Garden, executive vice-president of business for MLB, said.

"Their commitment to continue serving our teams and fans with a secure, reliable ticketing solution rooted in innovation remains a key ingredient for our partnership to deliver on its promise for the next five years."

StubHub first partnered with MLB in 2007.
