Longines has expanded its relationship with Ascot Racecourse by agreeing an initial five-year deal to become an official partner of the horse racing venue until at least 2017.
The Swiss watchmaker has been the official timekeeper at Ascot since 2007, and the enhancement of its relationship with the racecourse will allow it to increase its overall presence at the venue.
The new deal will include the installation of a Longines-branded chronometer near the finishing post, and a clock that will be present in the parade ring throughout the year. In addition, Longines will also become the official watch of the Royal Ascot meeting for the first time.
Longines will also retain a number of individual race sponsorships present in its previous agreement, including the Longines Sagaro Stakes.
Alongside Royal Ascot, the racecourse hosts a number of other high-profile events on the horseracing calendar, including the QIPCO British Champions Day –part of the QIPCO British Champions Series, which showcases the best flat races on the British circuit.
