Smartphone manufacturer Alcatel has entered into a partnership with English Premier League football club Liverpool.
The deal names Alcatel as the official smartphone of the club in Australia and New Zealand.
The length of the agreement was not disclosed, but the Tribal Football website reported that it will cover the three-year period spanning the 2016-17 to 2018-19 seasons.
A number of marketing campaigns will be organised in the two countries to promote the partnership.
“We are proud to partner with a brand like Alcatel, which is committed to delivering innovative technology that will bring us even closer to our fans,” Billy Hogan, Liverpool’s chief commercial officer, said. “Being able to engage with LFC fans across the globe is really important to us.
“We hope the partnership is the beginning of a fruitful and long-term relationship. We look forward to engaging with more supporters than ever before alongside Alcatel.”
