Ligue 1 clubs sign shirt sponsors for Coupe de la Ligue campaigns

French Ligue 1 football clubs Girondins de Bordeaux, Olympique de Marseille and Nantes have signed shirt sponsorship deals for their 2016-17 campaigns in the Coupe de la Ligue knockout competition.

Bordeaux has named IT and digital equipment specialist PSI as its shirt sponsor for the competition. PSI is currently the main sponsor of Bordeaux’s women’s team.

Health insurance company Mutuelles du Soleil has signed on as Marseille’s Coupe de la Ligue shirt sponsor. The company has partnered the club since the 2013-14 season and its branding currently features on the team’s sleeves during Ligue 1 games.

Nantes, meanwhile, has named home improvement and DIY retail store chain Flamino as its shirt sponsor. Flamino is an existing partner of the club.

Ligue 1 clubs that are not in European competition enter the Coupe de la Ligue at the third-round stage of the competition, which is taking place this week.

Nantes progressed to the fourth round with a 2-1 win over Angers yesterday (Tuesday), while Bordeaux and Marseille face trips to Châteauroux and Clermont Foot, respectively, later today.
