Supermarket chain Lidl has renewed its partnership with the German Handball Federation (DHB).
The new two-and-a-half-year deal, which was brokered by the Lagardère Sports agency, will run until the end of 2020, with Lidl becoming a premium partner of the DHB.
Lidl has served as the DHB’s official food partner since 2016. Under the new agreement, it will benefit from brand exposure on the right shoulder of the men’s national team’s shirts.
Lidl will also receive advertising space on LED boards, while initiatives will be launched to promote healthy eating. The deal was signed ahead of Germany’s friendly match against Serbia yesterday (Wednesday).
