Land Rover builds Super Rugby portfolio

British multi-purpose vehicle manufacturer Land Rover has agreed a new partnership with the Melbourne Rebels and has extended its deal with fellow Australian Super Rugby franchise the Brumbies.

Land Rover Australia has signed on as a platinum partner of the Rebels ahead of the 2016 Super Rugby season. The Land Rover logo will feature prominently on the club’s playing and training kit in 2016.

Kevin Nicholls, marketing director of Land Rover Australia, said: “This partnership offers Land Rover a great opportunity to further engage with our customers and general rugby fans in Melbourne, the sports capital of Australia and one of the most recognisable sporting cities on the planet.”

Meanwhile, Land Rover Australia has sealed a renewed, multi-year partnership with the Brumbies following an initial three-year association with the Canberra-based team.

Under the agreement, Land Rover Australia will retain its place as the official automotive partner of the Brumbies and will continue to feature on the left sleeve of all playing jerseys, as well as receiving a multitude of additional marketing assets across the Brumbies operation.

The partnerships add to Land Rover’s global rugby union portfolio. The company is currently serving as a global partner of the 2015 Rugby World Cup and holds deals with the English Premiership club competition, along with Super Rugby itself.
