British multi-purpose vehicle manufacturer Land Rover has entered into a partnership with the Event Rider Masters equestrian series.
The deal, the length of which was not disclosed, names Land Rover as the series’ official vehicle partner.
Under the agreement, Land Rover will transport vets, doctors, officials and stewards around events.
The partnership has been signed as the series prepares to host its first event in France this weekend. The fourth leg of the 2017 season will take place at Haras de Jardy, near Paris.
The Event Rider Masters is a new CIC three-star series and made its debut last year with a six-leg season in the UK. This year the series has expanded into Europe with events in France and Germany.
Jon Wyatt, the series’ commercial director, said: “As we expand the ERM series internationally, it is fantastic to welcome Land Rover into our family of hugely supportive partners. Their history and understanding of the sport of eventing, together with their drive for excellence and continually pushing the boundaries of engineering and technology, is a perfect fit for ERM. Our plans to grow into the US and Asia mirror their business, and with competitors and therefore TV audiences tuning in from around the world, this is a partnership that we are very excited about.”
Land Rover also supports the Festival of British Eventing and serves as the title sponsor of the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials.
