British multi-purpose vehicle manufacturer Land Rover has entered into a partnership with Scottish Pro12 rugby union club Glasgow Warriors.
The three-year deal runs until 2020 and names Land Rover as the official vehicle partner of the Warriors.
Under the agreement, Land Rover’s logo will feature on the front and back of the team’s playing jerseys.
Nathan Bombrys, the Warriors’ managing director, said: “The Land Rover brand and its outstanding range of all purpose vehicles has such a rich and respected heritage in rugby. To have the excellent support of a global brand that shares similar values to us, made this a natural fit for the club and we’re really looking forward to working closely with them over the next three years.”
The partnership further strengthens Land Rover’s position within rugby union, with the company also holding sponsorship agreements with the English Premiership, Welsh Pro12 team Cardiff Blues and Premiership outfit Wasps. Land Rover has also partnered the last two World Cups in 2011 and 2015, and sponsors the British and Irish Lions team.
