Japanese technology company Konica Minolta has agreed a five-year deal to become a national partner and official supplier of the next three editions of the Canada Games multi-sport event.
The deal, which was struck with the Canada Games Council, will cover the 2015 and 2019 Canada Winter Games, as well as the 2017 Canada Summer Games.
Konica Minolta will become the presenting partner for short-track speed skating at the 2015 Winter Games and will also serve as presenting partner for the sport of baseball at the 2017 Summer Games.
Konica Minolta becomes the ninth national partner of the Canada Games alongside the likes of Deloitte, Teck, Sage and Sportchek.
Tom Quinn, chairman of the Canada Games Council, said: “We strive to collaborate with reputable corporations, and our new partnership with Konica Minolta certainly continues that trend.”
The 2015 Canada Winter Games will take place in Prince George, British Columbia from February 13 to March 1.
