Finnish lifting equipment manufacturer Konecranes has agreed a partnership with Formula One motor-racing team Mercedes.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Konecranes will become an Official Supplier to Mercedes, building on its association with the team’s Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas, for whom it has held an endorsement deal since 2017.
Under the new collaboration, Konecranes will provide Mercedes with its latest technology, while the partnership will be promoted across web, video and social media. The Konecranes logo will be present on the sleeve of Bottas’ race suit, in the team’s factory in Brackley, England; and on team trucks, official media communications and the team website.
Konecranes president and chief executive, Panu Routila, said: “Our work with Valtteri Bottas already raised our global brand awareness and brought excellent feedback from both customers and employees, so I’m confident that this new agreement will lift the Konecranes brand globally to the next level.”
