North American stock-car racing series Nascar has agreed a renewed deal with K&N Filters for the automotive parts manufacturer to remain as the title sponsor of its Pro Series.
The extension is effective from when K&N’s present deal expires at the end of 2016 and is for five years, running through until 2021.
The new deal means K&N Filters will hold the rights to the development series for 12 consecutive years, while the company has also acquired the designation of official automotive filters of Nascar.
Fellow Nascar series title sponsors Xfinity and Camping World agreed respective 10 and seven-year renewals over recent months.
“K&N Filters has played an integral role in Nascar for years and we’re thrilled to renew our commitment to the sport and specifically as the title sponsor of the Nascar K&N Pro Series,” Jesse Spungin, chief sales and marketing officer for K&N Filters, said. “Our ability to leverage the power of Nascar’s intellectual property on and off the track while cultivating the sport’s rising stars across the country elevates our brand and drives our business.”
The 2015 Nascar Pro Series begins at Kern County Raceway Park on March 28.
