Home improvement retail chain Jumbo has secured a deal with IMG Schweiz, the Swiss subsidiary of the IMG agency, for the final jersey sponsorship package at this year’s Tour de Suisse UCI WorldTour cycling event.
Under the terms of the deal, Jumbo, which was a co-sponsor of the 2013 edition, takes its place among the second tier of official sponsors, as well as advertising on the jersey worn by the leading Swiss rider in the overall rankings.
Additionally, the firm will benefit from a number of advertising slots during live broadcasts of the race. The Tour de Suisse will be shown live on all three national channels operated by Swiss public-service broadcaster SRG, with IMG Media also distributing the race to more than 100 countries.
The 2014 Tour de Suisse takes place from June 14-22, with Portugal’s Rui Costa chasing a third successive victory.
