IPL stakeholders close sponsorship deals ahead of season start

The Indian Premier League, domestic rights-holding broadcaster Star India, and the league's teams are in the midst of closing a series of sponsorship deals ahead of the start of this year's tournament on April 9.

Automobile manufacturer Tata Motors announced that its flagship SUV model Safari would be an official partner of the league this year, taking its sponsorship relationship with the competition to a fourth successive year.
