Italian Serie A football club AC Milan has agreed a three-year partnership with Japanese IT equipment and services company Fujitsu.
Under the terms of the deal, Fujitsu will sit alongside Braun, Levissima, Aon, Ricoh, Eagle Pictures, Gatorade, Interbrau, Blu Hotels, Adecco, Radio Italia, McVitie’s, SPI Windows and Chronotech on Milan’s roster of official partners.
AC Milan’s head of sales, Mauro Tavola, said: “The Japanese market is very important. After the arrival of (Keisuke) Honda, it’s not simply by chance that a Japanese company is about to begin a partnership with us at the club. Milan is a worldwide brand and the fame and popularity of our players across the globe helps with our entrance into new markets and finding new sources of revenue through sponsorship.”
AC Milan is enduring a difficult season on the pitch and currently sits 11th in Serie A, seven points and six places behind city rival Inter in the final European qualification spot. Japanese international forward Honda joined Milan from Russian Premier League club CSKA Moscow in the January transfer window.
