Gold Coast 2018 logs on with Atos

French IT services company Atos has been named an official supporter of the 2018 Commonwealth Games multi-sport event, which will be staged in Australia’s Gold Coast region.

Under the agreement, Atos will use its technologies to deliver the event’s Games management and information diffusion system.

The company will work with the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) at its Gold Coast headquarters in the build-up to, and during, the Games.

Commonwealth Games Minister Stirling Hinchcliffe said: “For GC2018, Atos will manage the delivery of complex and innovative technology solutions and applications through their games management system that will support accreditation management, the volunteer portal, volunteer application form, sport entries management and more.

“The information diffusion system will incorporate the central results platform during the Games so that results are immediately available on the Games website for the public to follow their favourite teams and athletes.”

Atos joins KPMG, MinterEllison, Seek and Ticketek as second-tier official supporters of the Games. Top-tier official partners include the Jupiters Hotel and Casino development, Griffith University and TAFE Queensland. Centium Software, which has been named a third-tier official supplier of the event, completes the current sponsorship line-up. The Games will take place from April 4-15, 2018.

Atos also has a long-standing partnership with the International Olympic Committee and provides IT solutions at the Olympic Games.
