The Badminton World Federation has agreed a three-year extension to its partnership with internet company GoDaddy.
The deal, which runs from 2019 to 2021, will allow GoDaddy to continue as an Official Partner of BWF major events, building upon its successful sponsorship of the Thomas and Uber Cup and World Championships in 2018.
The new partnership includes the Sudirman Cup and World Championships in 2019 and 2021, along with the 2020 Thomas and Uber Cup.
BWF commercial director Owen Leed said: “BWF sees this as an exciting opportunity to elevate and boost the standing of our major events. This partnership provides great stability for BWF, with the opportunity for us to pursue new initiatives globally to further promote badminton.”
The deal was negotiated by the Infront agency, BWF’s long-term commercial partner.
