Infrastructure company Story Contracting has agreed a shirt sponsorship deal with Scottish Pro12 rugby union club Glasgow Warriors.
Story Contracting’s branding will feature on the right arm of the Warriors’ jerseys as part of the deal, the length of which was not disclosed.
Story Contracting, which operates in rail, plant hire and construction, will also serve as the Warriors’ official rail engineering partner.
In addition, Story Contracting will support the team’s new campaign, ‘Always a Warrior’, to promote rail travel to and from Warriors home games.
Story Contracting operates across northern England and Scotland, and has a regional base in Glasgow. The company also holds a five-year contract with Network Rail.
Darroch Ramsay, the Warriors’ marketing and partnerships manager, said: “Part of the work they are doing for Network Rail is to improve disabled access at train stations across Scotland and they are a perfect fit for our campaign to promote rail travel and the use of public transport for our supporters travelling to our home matches at Scotstoun.”
The Warriors will wear the Story Contracting-branded shirt for the first time tomorrow (Friday) during the home game against Ospreys.
