German Olympic Committee extends Adidas deal

The German Olympic Committee (DOSB) has extended its long-running partnership with sportswear giant Adidas.

The new deal will cover the 2018 winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea; the 2020 summer Games in Tokyo, Japan; the 2022 winter Games in Beijing, China; and the 2024 summer Games, the host of which is yet to be determined.

Under the agreement, Adidas will provide kit for the German team during the next four editions of the Games. The company will also continue to support the DOSB’s youth initiatives and events.

Adidas has provided the DOSB with 60,000 items of clothing for the ongoing Rio 2016 Games in Brazil. For the first time, the company also supplied the organisation with official kit for the Games’ opening ceremony, which took place on Friday.

Adidas has been a partner of the DOSB for over 45 years.
