The German Football Association (DFB) has agreed a three-year extension to its long-standing partnership with fast-food restaurant chain McDonald’s.
Financial terms were not disclosed for the extension, which runs until the end of 2018 and continues a 12-year collaboration that began in 2003.
McDonald’s retains its title sponsorship of the DFB’s player escort programme, which allows children to accompany the German national team into the stadium at home international matches.
The charity element of the partnership will also continue, with a focus on awarding player escort places to disadvantaged children.
Germany secured a 3-2 win over Scotland on Monday night to close in on qualification for Uefa Euro 2016.
