Fulham nets record sponsorship deal for Premier League return

Newly-promoted Premier League club Fulham has unveiled online betting company Dafabet as its new main sponsor ahead of its return to the top flight of English football.

The two-year deal covers the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed but Fulham confirmed the deal marks a record for the London club.

Dafabet’s logo will feature on the front of Fulham’s home and away shirts as part of the agreement. The deal also extends to Fulham’s women’s team.

Dafabet branding will be visible around Fulham’s Craven Cottage stadium, and across the club’s social media and digital channels. Fan engagement opportunities will also form part of the deal.

John Cruces, head of sports marketing and sponsorship at Dafabet, said: “Being one of the most-recognised Asian brands it was very important to us to continue to be seen in the most watched league in club football, especially seeing more new gaming brands entering football of late. We’ll be bringing the highest level of experience to the partnership and will engage with both the club and fans, working towards common goals.”

Fulham secured a return to the Premier League after a four-year absence with a 1-0 victory over Aston Villa in last season’s Championship play-off final at Wembley.
