Airport operator Fraport has signed a long-term extension to its naming rights partnership with Frankfurt-based German Basketball Bundesliga club the Skyliners.
The partnership first commenced in July 2011 and Fraport will now continue to hold the naming rights to both the team and its home arena.
Fraport will also serve as an official sponsor of the club’s youth basketball project and will have branding at home games and on the team’s jersey.
The length of the extension has not been disclosed.
Gunnar Wöbke, managing partner of Fraport Skyliners, said: “Fraport, through the early contract extension, has made a clear commitment to the club and in common a commitment to the region of Frankfurt-Rhein/Main. It’s no secret that we are currently in a phase crucial to the future development of the club.
