Eintracht Frankfurt has agreed a three-year extension to its partnership with airport operator Fraport, a former shirt sponsor of the German Bundesliga football club.
Fraport will continue as a Premium Partner of Eintracht through to July 1, 2022, receiving logo presence at the Commerzbank-Arena as well as exposure via the club’s digital channels.
The company also served as Eintracht’s main sponsor from 2001 to 2011, a period which included time in the 2. Bundesliga.
Eintracht board member Axel Hellmann said: “The internationality of our city is deeply rooted in the core of Eintracht Frankfurt, and the airport with all its facets is the gateway to the world for us, and for many of our guests the first touchpoint with Frankfurt and also our club.
“Both are Frankfurt institutions, both fit together wonderfully due to their international orientation and have experienced ups and downs in the past. When talking about Frankfurt in the world, the first thing that comes to mind is the airport and Eintracht.”
