German 1.Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt has strengthened its commercial portfolio by extending a sponsorship deal with national railway organisation Deutsche Bahn for a further two seasons, from 2013-14 to 2014-15.
The deal was brokered by the Sportfive agency on behalf of the club. Deutsche Bahn has been a premium partner of Frankfurt since 2002.
“We are delighted that Deutsche Bahn is still standing by our side and we are also proud that this collaboration has been a true partnership of continuity, particularly as it is now entering its 12th season,” the club’s chief executive, Heribert Bruchhagen, said.
Sportfive director Thorsten Rittersberger added: “It is impressive to see how they have continued to innovate through the partnership, again and again, creating new approaches and co-operations.”
It is the second sponsorship deal of the week to be unveiled by the club following the news of insurance firm DFV upgrading its relationship to a premium partner status for three years, from 2013-14 to 2015-16.
