Spanish food brand Fragata Olives has extended its partnership with Unipublic, organiser of Spain’s La Vuelta cycling tour.
Under the deal, Fragata will continue as an Official Sponsor of La Vuelta until at least 2021.
As before, Fragata will have two branded vehicles in the advertising caravan at La Vuelta, and can also host on-site promotional activities at both the start and finish lines of each race.
Fragata has sponsored La Vuelta since 2012. In its seven years as a La Vuelta sponsor, Fragata has covered almost 20,000km, distributing olives to spectators from its branded vehicles.
Juan Carlos Sánchez, director of marketing and communications for Fragata’s parent company, Ángel Camacho Alimentación, said: “With this race, we are able to take our brand to every part of Spain. Also, the fact that La Vuelta is becoming increasingly more international, as is its media coverage, is something that really appeals to us.”
Fragata Olives was founded in 1925. It is a 100 per cent family-owned business, based in Morón de la Frontera, Sevilla, and its olives are sold in over 90 countries.
Ángel Camacho Alimentación’s wider product portfolio includes Sevilla orange marmalade La Vieja Fábrica and Susarón herbal tea.
