Swiss watch manufacturer Tag Heuer has renewed its partnership with the Formula E electric car-racing series.
Under the new deal, Tag Heuer will retain its position as the series’ official timekeeping partner. The length of the new agreement was not disclosed.
Tag Heuer was one of the first companies to back Formula E ahead of its debut season in 2014.
“Since the very first day, Tag Heuer has believed in the future of this first FIA (International Automobile Federation) championship for single-seater electric vehicles, demonstrating this belief through its involvement as a founding partner,” Tag Heuer chief executive Jean-Claude Biver said.
“Today, we’re proud of being part of its expansion, from the ‘start-up’ beginning to its new cycle as an indispensable championship.”
The announcement was made today (Wednesday) as part of the Tag Heuer exhibition to celebrate the opening of the Geneva Motor Show.
