Global business and financial news broadcaster CNBC has renewed its partnership with the Formula E electric car-racing championship.
Under the agreement, CNBC will continue to serve as the championship’s global business partner. The length of the renewal was not disclosed.
As part of the deal, CNBC will continue to enjoy trackside advertising exposure at race events and will retain its presence on Formula E’s digital channels.
CNBC also confirmed that it is planning a series of networking events for the London leg of the championship on July 2.
Finola McDonnell, vice-president of marketing and communications at CNBC International, said: “Technology and innovation are extremely important to our elite audience of CEOs, CFOs and CMOs and this partnership allows us to take CNBC to them outside the boardroom.”
CNBC has been a partner of Formula E since the series’ inaugural 2014-15 season. The fifth leg of the 2015-16 season will take place on Saturday in Mexico City, Mexico.
