Federally chartered stock savings bank Flagstar Bank has penned a three year deal to become an official partner to NHL ice hockey team Detroit Red Wings.
Under the terms of the deal, Flagstar will be the official Red Wings credit and debit card provider, checking and savings account provider and mortgage partner.
Flagstar will enjoy exclusive use of the Red Wings’ logo to develop co-branded consumer and business banking products.
At the Red Wings’ Joe Louis Arena, Flagstar ATMs are to be installed and the bank’s branding will appear on practice jerseys and pucks.
Red Wings fans stand to benefit from a range of initiatives through the sponsorship, including the ‘Twitterview’ social media programme that allows supporters to take over the franchise’s Twitter account and interact with a player or team executive on a fortnightly basis.
