Fina, the global governing body of aquatic sports, has agreed a deal for China National Sport Group to title sponsor its Diving World Series as part of a long-term partnership with the organisation.
The deal has been signed today (Friday) as the 2018 World Series gets underway in Beijing. The title sponsorship agreement will mark the start of a four-year partnership between Fina and CNSG.
It is hoped that the partnership will enhance the promotion of the World Series and the discipline in general, with China being diving’s most successful nation over the past three decades.
CNSG chairman Zhang Lizeng said: “CNSG will definitely gain brand promotion and exposure as title sponsor of the Fina Diving World Series. We hope to further develop diving as a sport and consolidate cooperation with Fina at a higher level in the future. CNSG is looking forward to be recognised by more people and offering services for more sports venues as well as events across the world.”
Fina executive director Cornel Marculescu added: “Given CNSG's experience within the sports industry, it is an ideal and trusted partner for Fina.”
CNSG is a state-owned sports industrial business organisation. It covers venue construction and management, event organisation, sport lottery services, real estate services, investment management and business incubation.
