The English Football Association (FA) has signed a new partnership with Korean electronics manufacturer Samsung.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Samsung will assume the status of official consumer electronics and smartphone supplier to the England team.
The news means that each member of the travelling England World Cup squad will head to Brazil for next month’s Fifa World Cup equipped with all the latest mobile and communications devices.
Players and staff will be equipped with the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone which comes pre-loaded with health features such as a heart rate monitor.
