Esports organisation ESL has agreed a deal for US technology company Intel to serve as the title sponsor of its ESL Premiership UK-based competition for the 2018 season.
Under the agreement, all computers used during the offline final in this year’s ESL Premiership will be powered by 8th Gen Intel CoreTM i7 processors.
Intel will also work with Currys PC World as part of the deal in order to promote its gaming machines that are sold by the UK electrical retailer.
The new agreement will enhance Intel’s existing relationship with ESL after the company signed a deal to become the global technical partner of the organisation in June last year.
The ESL Premiership features competition based on gaming titles ‘Rainbow Six’, ‘Counter Strike: Global Offensive’, ‘League of Legends’ and ‘Hearthstone’.
The first season under the new sponsorship is the Rainbow Six ESL Premiership, which began on January 15 and will run until February 19. The Rainbow Six live finals will take place on March 10-11.
