The HyperX division of memory products manufacturer Kingston has entered into a partnership with the ELeague esports competition.
HyperX becomes the official headset sponsor of ELeague, a joint venture between US media company Turner and the WME-IMG agency.
The first ELeague season began on May 24 and consists of 24 teams. It will span 10 weeks and feature a six-week regular season, a playoff system and a global championship, which will be staged on July 30. The league features tournaments in first-person shooter game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
“HyperX is the perfect match for ELeague as it presents contextually-relevant branding opportunities that will complement the overall fan experience,” Seth Ladetsky, senior vice-president of advertising sales at Turner Sports, said. “After several weeks of performance, we are consistently seeing ELeague drive audience engagement across all platforms. This is a win for official marketing partners like HyperX, who will reach these socially-engaged fans within a low clutter format.”
HyperX currently sponsors more than 30 esports organisations and various ELeague teams.
