Durham drinks to new beer partnership

Australian lager brand Foster’s has secured a partnership with English county cricket club Durham.

The deal will run for five seasons, from 2016 until 2020.

Heineken-owned Foster’s will benefit from branding placement on the front of Durham’s playing jerseys.

Foster’s, as well as other beers and ciders owned by Heineken, will also be made available for supporters to purchase during Durham home matches at the team’s Emirates Riverside stadium. In addition, Foster’s will work with the club on a range of supporter activities and initiatives.

David Harker, chief executive of Durham, said: “Heineken has committed to work with us in a proactive way, particularly on match days, where they will help to provide a much greater experience for our fans.

“With Foster’s being extremely popular in the north-east, it also means there are over 1,000 pubs and clubs where we can promote our events and club activity in conjunction with Foster’s.”
