US daily fantasy sports operator DraftKings has secured partnerships with NFL American football teams Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs.
Under the multi-year agreements, financial terms for which were not disclosed, DraftKings will open branded fantasy sports lounges at each of the teams’ home stadiums.
The facilities at the Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium, the Patriots’ Gillette Stadium and the Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium will open for the start of the 2015 NFL season on September 10.
“What better way to kick off football season than by partnering with the most recognisable, storied franchises in the league to create our newest fantasy lounges,” Jason Robins, chief executive and co-founder of DraftKings, said. “Our lounges will give Patriots, Cowboys and Chiefs fans enhanced game-day experiences that will bring them closer to the action. We look forward to providing even more exclusive once-in-a-lifetime experiences for DraftKings users through these partnerships.”
DraftKings will begin its $10 Million Guaranteed Millionaire Maker Fantasy Football Contest during week one of the forthcoming NFL season, offering a grand prize of $2m (€1.8m).
In April, DraftKings’ rival FanDuel signed multi-year sponsorship agreements with 15 NFL teams.
