DHL extends Formula One agreement

LOGISTICS COMPANY DHL has agreed a two-year extension to its long-term partnership with Formula One, which sees the company remain as the Official Logistics and Global Partner of the World Championship.

The brand will maintain its sponsorship of the DHL Fastest Lap award, which is presented to the driver who records the highest number of fastest laps throughout the course of the season.

DHL first linked up with Formula One in 2004, and will continue to provide a range of logistics services to the competition, including organisational support at 19 different race locations across five continents.

“We have a longstanding operational and commercial relationship with DHL, and we are more than happy to have DHL as one of our global brands again, who are dedicated to delivering exceptional quality,” said Bernie Ecclestone, Formula One Group CEO.

“As official logistics partner, DHL continues to play an important role in Formula One, and they in turn will benefit immensely from the opportunity to showcase their brand to one of the most committed and passionate global fan bases of any sport.”

The new Formula One season begins on Sunday with the Australian Grand Prix at Melbourne’s Albert Park circuit.
