The German Hockey Federation (DHB) has extended its premium partnership with insurance group Ergo for two years until March 2016.
Ergo retains shirt branding space on the sleeve of the Germany men’s team kit. The financial terms of the deal were undisclosed.
Additionally, the company continues its title sponsorship of the Ergo Masters – an annual national team tournament that alternates between Dusseldorf and Hamburg. The former German city will host this year’s event from May 15-18.
The fresh terms take in this year’s World Cup in the Hague, as well as the 2015 World Indoor Championships and European Championships in Leipzig and London respectively, extending Ergo’s association with the DHB to 10 years.
Away from competitions, Ergo will help to organise a branded fan trip to the Netherlands for the World Cup between May 31 and June 15 and collaborate with DHB in a hockey publicity drive using video clips this summer.
Germany’s men’s team lost 2-1 to Australia in the final of the 2010 World Cup, which was held in New Delhi, India.
