Automobile club AAA Michigan has signed a five-year sponsorship agreement with MLB baseball team Detroit Tigers.
Under the deal, the financial terms of which were undisclosed, AAA Michigan will have a significant branding presence on Pepsi Porch – one of the most popular spectator locations at the Tigers’ Comerica Park.
The television-visible branding will be in place from the opening day of the 2014 MLB season, for which Pepsi Porch has been extensively renovated as a refreshments and hospitality location.
Detroit Tigers has a history of collaboration with AAA Michigan, including over its teen driving safety programme in recent years.
Brent Stahlheber, chief brand officer at AAA Michigan and the Auto Club Group, said: “This sponsorship with the Detroit Tigers was a natural extension of the new, well-received brand campaign which AAA launched earlier this year. With the backdrop of Detroit skyscrapers and a camera-friendly location, our iconic AAA brand will have even greater visibility for those in the park and those watching on television.”
