Pure Michigan extends partnerships with Detroit Tigers, MIS

Pure Michigan, a campaign focused on promoting tourism in the US state, has extended deals with Major League Baseball’s Detroit Tigers and the Michigan International Speedway (MIS) motor-racing venue.

The Tigers agreed to a one-year renewal, from October 2016 to September 2017, worth $325,000 (€311,000).

Pure Michigan branding will appear on various surfaces inside the franchise’s Comerica Park, including dugout railings and benches, the TigerVision system and the main scoreboard. In addition, one Tigers home game will adopt a Pure Michigan theme.

Pure Michigan will also promote its campaign through the team’s official social media channels and public relations services.

Meanwhile, the MIS has also agreed to a one-year extension worth $725,000.

The MIS will promote Pure Michigan during the 2017 stock car-racing Nascar Cup Series. Sponsorship will include branding on billboards and signage, as well as a turf logo and other marketing materials.
