Professional services company Emerald Group has ended its sponsorship of Yorkshire County Cricket Club due to the team’s handling of a racism case with former player Azeem Rafiq, with other sponsors following suit.

Emerald has held naming rights to Yorkshire’s Headingley Stadium since November 2017. In a statement released yesterday (Wednesday), the company said it has taken the decision to remove its brand association with the club and the stadium.
