Cricket South Africa has signed a new five-year deal with South African Breweries.
The fresh agreement will run until 2021 and names SAB’s flagship Castle Lager brand as the official beer of the South African national team.
Castle Lager, through SAB, had previously been a long-term headline sponsor of South Africa’s Test and one-day international teams. SAB has been a partner of CSA for 23 years.
CSA chief executive Haroon Lorgat said: “Their contribution to sports in South Africa is phenomenal and we are indeed very happy that they will remain partners of CSA and henceforth be involved with our fans too.”
In May, CSA agreed a deal with Standard Bank for the financial services company to become the headline sponsor of the national team in the Test, ODI and Twenty20 formats. Standard Bank’s four-year deal with the body will run until 2020.
