Tyre manufacturer Continental has expanded its football presence by becoming a sponsor of the Copa do Brasil knockout club football competition.
The partnership is effective from the second round of the Copa do Brasil later this month, although precise terms were not disclosed.
A range of promotional and media activities, including dealership activations, will be used by Continental to launch the partnership.
Continental’s football portfolio includes the Uefa Euro 2016 national team tournament, while it is also a partner of Major League Soccer and the German Bundesliga.
Packaged foods brand Sadia is the title sponsor of the Copa do Brasil.
