Pro12 provincial Irish rugby union team Connacht has announced a three-year sponsorship deal with locally-based Murray Timber Group.
Effective from the summer of 2014, Murray Timber Group will benefit from branding space on Connacht’s playing jersey under the terms of the agreement.
The timber provider already boasts an involvement in rugby within the province through its sponsorship of Roscommon-based junior club Creggs RFC, and Connacht-born players John Muldoon, Ronan Loughney and Denis Buckley took part in a promotional event to launch the new partnership alongside their head coach Pat Lam.
Connacht Rugby’s tie-up with Murray Timber Group is its second significant commercial move of 2014. In January it made gaming company BragBet an official partner, becoming the first Irish provincial team to sign a deal with a betting firm.
