Mobile phone operator Movistar has renewed its ties with the Colombia Football Federation (FCF) to remain as an official partner of the Colombia football team.
The four-year deal runs from 2015 to 2019 and takes in major international tournaments including this year’s Copa America in Chile, the 2016 Copa America Centenario in the United States and the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia.
Telefonica-owned Movistar has partnered the FCF since 2011 and will continue to be associated with the men’s and women’s senior and age-group teams, along with Columbia’s men’s futsal and beach soccer teams.
The extended association with the FCF will feature Movistar collaborating on various fan giveaways and grassroots initiatives. The company features as one of four FCF official partners alongside Adidas, HomeCenter and Chevrolet.
