French financial services company Cofidis has strengthened its commitment to Spanish cycling by agreeing a new deal to sponsor three of the country’s UCI WorldTour races in 2018.
Cofidis will support this year’s editions of the Volta a Catalunya, Vuelta al País Vasco and Clásica de San Sebastián.
Cofidis will receive brand exposure at the start and finish areas of each stage of the three races. It will also have a presence on podiums and on the jersey of the winner of each stage.
Cofidis has sponsored Spain’s ‘Grand Tour’ event, the Vuelta a España, since 2010, and last year became the main sponsor of the Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC). The company has also been the main sponsor of Pro-Continental cycling team Cofidis Solutions Crédits since its formation in 1996.
This year, the Volta a Catalunya runs from March 19-25, the Vuelta al País Vasco is scheduled for April 2-7 and the Clásica de San Sebastián will be held on August 4.
