Baked goods company Chipita has agreed a deal with Euroleague Basketball to sponsor the European club competition’s Final Four end-of-season showpiece event.
The length of the deal was not disclosed but Euroleague Basketball said the partnership would commence with the 2014 edition of the Final Four.
Under the deal, Chipita’s 7Days brand will become the official snack of the Final Four.
Spyros Theodoropoulos, chief executive officer of Chipita, said: “Basketball, and especially the leading event of the Final Four, can be well associated with our 7Days products, which have a big brand awareness in most European countries.”
The 2014 EuroLeague Final Four will take place in Milan, Italy across the weekend of May 16-18.
