English Premier League football club Chelsea has named Millennium & Copthorne Hotels as its official hotel partner.
The three-year global partnership will focus on Europe, China, Southeast Asia, North America and the Middle East. The deal has been signed with the two parties having forged a successful relationship over the past decade.
As part of the agreement, MyMilennium members and corporate customers will receive access to once-in-a-lifetime experiences with Chelsea.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but Chelsea’s commercial director Chris Townsend said the deal is “one of the largest of its kind” in the league.
Frank Jermarrec, group chief marketing officer at Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, said: “We believe that this is a strong partnership that will not only enhance the perception of both brands on a global platform but will also add to the breadth of services we offer at Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, creating memorable guest experiences that set us apart from other operators.”
There are currently two Millennium & Copthorne Hotels destinations located on site at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge stadium. The nearby Chelsea Harbour Hotel will also benefit from the new partnership by hosting special events in coordination with the club.
