Chelsea has signed a 10-year extension to its kit partnership with Adidas in a deal the English Premier League football club claims is the biggest it has signed with a partner.
The German sportswear giant will continue as Chelsea’s official sponsor and sportswear supplier through to 2023. The partnership between the two organisations first began in 2006.
Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay said: “We are delighted to extend our partnership until 2023 after a highly successful first seven seasons. Both organisations share the same ethos and ambition and the new deal reaffirms Adidas' belief in the club's status in world football.”
Chelsea announced in September 2012 that Samsung had elected to extend its shirt sponsorship deal with the club through to the end of the 2014-15 season. Chelsea first partnered with the Korean electronics firm in 2005.
